In an age in which it is popular to espouse faith plus nothing, Peter exhorts believers to add these things to your faith so that we might make our calling and election sure, to never stumble, not be barren or unfruitful, and to obtain an abundant entrance into the everlasting Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Pet.1:7-11). Peter warns those who lack these things that they are spiritually blind. Something is amiss with today’s theology when we compare it to the apostle Peter’s!
